Arts in Milton
Milton has a large number of excellent museums. The Halton County Radial Railway located in the countryside at 13629 Guelph Line, offers visitors the opportunity to take a 2 kilometre ride on a variety of restored streetcars.
Country Heritage Park located at 8560 Tremaine Road, is an interactive museum depicting agriculture and rural life, spanning the last 150 years. This museum has an outstanding collection of tractors, steam engines, and farm equipment. The Halton Region Museum located in the Kelso Conservation Area explores Halton Region’s natural and cultural heritage. Not be missed is the reconstructed Iroquoian Village at the Crawford Lake Conservation Area, located off Guelph Line.
The Milton Public Library located at 45 Bruce Street offers programs, for children, adults and seniors. The Milton Fair takes place each September at the Milton Fair Grounds located at 136 Robert Street. Festivities include: horse and livestock shows, a petting zoo, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and family fun.
For entertainment with a spin check out the Mohawk Racetrack Slots, located at 9430 Guelph Line. This facility offers live harness and simulcast horse racing, slot machines, restaurants, and bars.
The fairgrounds are host to the Flamboro Antique Show.
