Recreation in Rouge
The Tall Pines Park and Neighbourhood Centre is located at 64 Rylander Boulevard, across from the Abbey Lane Shopping Centre. This is a modern facility with community meeting rooms. The park itself features two tennis courts and a children's playground.
The Rouge Community Park, conveniently situated in the middle of this neighbourhood, is ideal for a short nature hike or picnic and also features a baseball diamond. Further west of the Rouge Community Park is Dean Park, another naturalized park that features tennis courts.
Rouge Park, which forms the eastern boundary of this neighbourhood, is popular with nature enthusiasts, hikers, joggers, and cross-country skiers. It is also the site of the Glen Rouge campground, which has over one hundred camp sites. Access to this park is located east of Sheppard Avenue off Kingston Road.
