City building from a female perspective. A conversation with Carmen Douville, Jade Lee Hoy, Natasa Kajganic and Jacquelyn West. Natasa Kajganic is the founder of the Toronto Flower Market and aims to bring focus to the local flower industry through inspiring public floral installations and experiences. Jacquelyn West is an Artistic Director and Creative Placemaker based in Toronto. Co-Founder of So Good City, an engine providing new solutions for temporary public art, local culture, and urban nature in city neighbourhoods. Carmen Douville is an expert in creative industries, entrepreneurship, innovation and urbanism. She is currently supporting DesignTO as a Program Coordinator and consulting on various projects. Jade Lee Hoy is most passionate about empowering young people using arts, culture, and design thinking. Her past experience includes OCAD, Friends of the Pan Am Path and the Distillery District. This is a 19+ event, ID will be checked at the door

Come visit Pretty Elevated by Irisa at Stackt Market - a first-of-its-kind community collective and pop-up with curated retail, workshops and a co-working space created to empower and amplify local women-led businesses. Opening on August 15th, the Pretty Elevated pop-up at Stackt Market will feature a rotating selection of local women-owned businesses who are at different stages of their entrepreneurial journeys and looking to scale up. Each entrepreneur will be given the opportunity to activate in the Pretty Elevated space for two weeks rent-free to promote their business and grow their customer base.
