The City of Vaughan is the home of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection located at 10365 Islington Avenue in the Village of Kleinburg. This gallery is situated on a picturesque 100 acre property. This is an inspiring setting for a gallery that spotlights works from the Group of Seven, Canada’s most celebrated landscape painters.
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection boasts the largest Group of Seven display in the world.
Vaughan is the home of Paramount Canada’s Wonderland situated at Highway 400 and Rutherford Road. This is Canada’s largest theme park with over 200 attractions and more than 60 thrilling rides. Movie goers will delight in the selection of films screened at the spaceship inspired Famous Players Colossus entertainment complex situated at the Interchanges of Highway 400 and Highway 407. This state-of-the-art facility has 18 screens, and is the home of Ontario’s first 3-D IMAX theatre. Still further west along Highway 7, is the ultra-modern AMC theatre, which has 30 movie screens.
The City Playhouse Theatre at 1000 New Westminster Street just off Bathurst Street is a 386 seat Proscenium Theatre that serves as a venue for community theatre, art displays and cultural events. The Town of Woodbridge hosts the annual Woodbridge Italian Festival the first weekend in August.
