Recreation in King
King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg all have their own ice arenas, and community halls. Kettleby and Pottageville share a community recreation centre, and parkland that includes tennis courts, a baseball diamond, soccer fields, and an outdoor pavilion.
Hiking is a popular activity in King Township. Access to the scenic Oak Ridges Trail is available from the Seneca College King Campus, located on the northwest corner of Dufferin Street and the Bloomington Sideroad. In the winter this trail is frequented by cross-country skiers.
Golfing is a popular pursuit in King Township. There are many picturesque public and private courses from which to choose from.
