East Gwillimbury
Homes in East Gwillimbury
New Home subdivisions proliferate throughout East Gwillimbury, especially in Holland Landing and Queensville. Most of these subdivisions date from the 1980s, right up to the present. Many are currently under construction. These subdivision homes tend to be modest and affordable detached houses with built-in garages. The housing in the River Drive Park community consists mostly of small frame bungalows built in the 1940s, and 50s, that provide entry level home ownership opportunities for first time buyers.
In Mt. Albert, and Sharon, the core of the housing stock consists of heritage homes. In particular these villages contain a large number of charming Edwardian style houses built in the 1910s and 20s.
