Port Credit is known as , “Mississauga’s Village on the Lake”. Its shopping district incorporates a nautical blue theme that is painted on the cast-iron street lamps, and street signs in the village. There are over 300 shops, restaurants, services, and professional offices in this waterfront shopping district. Clarkson, located just to the west of Port Credit, has a number of modern shopping plazas. Streetsville, “The Village in the City”, is located off Mississauga Road, south of Britannia Road West. This quaint old-fashioned shopping district has a lovely heritage streetscape located on Queen Street S., that is lined with historical buildings and churches. Antique shops, gift shops, home-decor stores, and restaurants are all part of the Streetsville shopping experience.
The Square One Shopping Centre located at 100 City Centre Drive is a huge regional mall anchored by The Bay and Wal-Mart, and features more than 330 stores. Square One hosts a popular outdoor farmers market in its northeast parking lot from mid-June to late October. Erin Mills Town Centre located at 5100 Erin Mills Parkway, is anchored by Sears, The Bay, and Zellers and includes over 220 shops and services. The Dixie Outlet Mall located at Dixie Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way features over 120 brand name, manufacturer and retail outlet stores, which are sure to delight any bargain hunter.
