Shopping in Oakville

The downtown Oakville shopping district situated along Lakeshore Road, is the crown jewel of this popular lakeside community. The heritage buildings that line this street are home to some of the finest clothing boutiques, furniture and design stores, gift shops, antique shops, and restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area. Throughout the year the Downtown Oakville B.I.A. hosts a wide variety of events including: the Oakville Waterfront Festival, the Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival, an Autumn Festival, and a Santa Clause Parade. Midnight madness and sidewalk sales are also annual events.

The Bronte Village shopping district located west of downtown Oakville along Lakeshore Road, caters mostly to the residents in the immediate area. You will find a small mall, and a diversified retail mix along this corridor. Be sure not to miss the quaint boutiques, shops, and restaurants situated off Bronte Road, south of Lakeshore Road, overlooking the sailboats in the Bronte Marina.

The north end of Oakville contains a plethora of shopping centres. The largest of these is the Oakville Town Centre, located at the QEW and Dorval Drive, and the Oakville Place shopping centre, situated just north of the QEW, at Trafalgar Road.
