Locally owned shops, boutiques, restaurants and professional offices comprise the shopping mix here. Every Saturday morning from June until September, Main Street hosts a bustling Framers Market. Parking is free and plentiful.
The Georgetown Market Place mall, located off Guelph Street features over 60 stores including: Loblaws, and Wal-Mart. This shopping mall is situated in a retail district that also includes franchise retailers and restaurants, and many car dealerships.
Downtown Acton is best known for The Olde Hide House who coined the phrase “Its worth the drive to Acton”. This mega-store is Canada’s largest leather outlet with over 8000 square feet of retail space. Downtown Acton also has over 85 shops and services, including popular antique and collectable shops. Downtown Acton hosts numerous annual events including the “Trunk Sale”, which is reputed to be the largest garage sale on wheels.
