Lifestyle in Burlington
Downtown Burlington centred at Lakeshore Road and Brant Street overlooks Lake Ontario. This is one of the largest shopping districts in the Greater Toronto Area. More than 12 city blocks are jam-packed with over 350 retailers, more than 40 restaurants, and a large number of professional offices. The newly renovated Burlington Mall located at the corner of Guelph Line and Fairview Street is anchored by The Bay and Zellers, and features over 100 stores. This mall hosts the popular Burlington Farmers Market from May to October. Local produce, baked goods, meats and cheeses attract a loyal group of shoppers.
Mapleview Shopping Centre located at the Queen Elizabeth Way and Fairview Street, features over 170 shops, and is anchored by Sears, and The Bay department stores. Burlington has many more smaller urban shopping plazas that are far to numerous to mention by name, but provide excellent shopping options as well.
A popular Burlington shopping destination is the Dutch Mill Country Market located on Millgrove Sideroad. This country-style gift emporium includes a charming tea room that makes for an ideal lunch stop.
