The ranch-style bungalows and two-storey homes along Sheppard Avenue were built in the 1960's. These houses are situated on extra wide and deep lots. Some of these lots stretch back four hundred feet. Many of the houses on the east side of Sheppard Avenue command a spectacular view of the Rouge River Valley.

The majority of the houses in this neighbourhood are two-storey detached and semi-detached homes built in the 1970's, 80's, and 90's. There are also some townhouse communities and a handful of condominium apartment buildings located within this neighbourhood.
