With the red lanterns lighting up the Chinatown area, Chinatown Business Improvement Area has prepared a series of events to celebrate 2012 Chinese New Year, the year of Dragon. On January 23 an opening ceremony will be held 12pm-1pm at Chinatown Centre (222 Spadina Avenue) January 28-29, the lion dance parade visits stores along Dundas and Spadina to wish everyone good luck and prosperity in the coming year. Enjoy live performances demonstrating the cultural diversity of Chinatown on the stage at Chinatown Centre and Dragon City Shopping Mall from 12pm - 6pm. Come immerse yourself in the Chinese culture and share the joy of Chinese New Year with us. |
