The workshop seeks to open a space for dialogue around the differences between us. We will do this in an effort to explore the bodily responses for the subsequent sensations, emotions and creative adjustments in confronting these differences. Together, we will look at the traumatic response that arises out of discrimination and self-censorship, therefore we can give space to the stretch of “trying hard”; the hunger of “being normal”, the thirst of “fitting in” and the excitement of “being curious”. In a world where there is an urgent need to maintain conformity and respectability, we want to invite you to this supportive Gestalt space where authentic human contact can organically happen.
