COLEMAN LEMIEUX & COMPAGNIE PRESENTS: LOVE, SEX & BRAHMS – Mar. 16 – 19, 2017

Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie (CLC) presents the expanded version of choreographer James  Kudelka’s Dora Award-winning #lovesexbrahms, March 16 to 19, 2017 at the Betty Oliphant Theatre. The official world premiere will see the addition of the remaining five of Brahms’ Intermezzi for solo piano to the original 13 Intermezzi under the new title Love, Sex & Brahms. This rich, beautifully detailed work, involving some of the leading names in Canadian dance, will be performed to solo piano played live by Andrew Burashko, and will feature famed ballerina Evelyn Hart, ten CLC company dancers, and Sarkis (the puppet) in the role of the enigmatic host. Combining evolving technology with past traditions for a modern lifestyle, the 2017 Future Dream Home™ by Probuilt Design + Build, for the first time, is an actual design and build project for a Toronto client. The 2,700 square foot home will be built on location at the National Home Show presented by RE/MAX and co-located with Canada Blooms taking place at Toronto’s Enercare Centre, where it will be available for the public to tour from March 10-19, 2017 before being re-built on the homeowner’s land.

Year in and year out, Canada Blooms – the largest flower and garden festival in the country – awes and inspires gardening lovers with the innovation, artistry and beauty of its gardens and floral displays. At this year’s festival, there’s a party brewing to help celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017. Canada Blooms is marking Canada’s sesquicentennial with the theme Oh! Canada and this distinctly Canadian flavour will be ever so noticeable throughout Canada Blooms — to be held March 10-19 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto — from the design of the displays to the plants being used.
