Congratulations To The Toronto Raptors On Winning The 2019 NBA Championship
June 14, 2019
Kyle Lowry. He came from North Philly to our great City and led the Toronto Raptors to their first ever NBA championship with a 114-110 win in game 6. Lowry stormed out of the gates in the first quarter of game 6 like a man possessed nailing three shots from three point land, driving the net for layups, and hitting free throws on route to 15 points in the first quarter alone. But despite Lowry's brilliance the defending champion Golden State Warriors would not go away counterpunching almost every Raptor basket. This was a heavyweight tilt that saw the lead change hands dozens of times with the Raptors up by just three points at halftime. In the second half it was Lowry understudy, point guard Fred Van Vleet who led the charge with five three point baskets of his own. And in the waning minutes of the game, it was "you know who number 2" Kawai Leonard who had his steady hand "The Claw" on the ball grabbing rebounds, forcing turnovers, hitting free throws, hitting jumpers, driving the basket and simply being All-World or should we say All Canada for the Toronto Raptors just as he has done all season. Shout out to Pascal "Spicy P" Siakam, Serge "The Shot Blocka" Ibaka, Danny "Money Money" Green, Marc "Mr. Spain" Gasol and Norm "Playoff" Powell who also had tremendous games. The Toronto Raptors are NBA champions. Man that sounds good. Let the party begin.
